An ASP-based approach to dealing with agent perception failure

The paper presents a new modality extending Answer Set Programming in order to refine its capability of representing knowledge in case of possible perception failure. The aim of the proposal is mainly to present a new logical approach to deal with uncertainty arising from perception bugs, and to show its effectiveness in the context of agent reasoning representation. The basic environment of Answer Set Programming, has been chosen to simplify the study of the above aspect, without limiting the possibility of using our approach in the wide scenario of agent-oriented logic languages.
